Tekashi 6ix9ine Suffered Serious Injuries in an Ambush Attack at a Gym Sauna and Was Sent to the Hospital

A video of the attack has surfaced; in it, one man repeatedly strikes Tekashi as the rapper tries to protect his face.

A group of men brutally attacked Tekashi 6ix9ine inside a South Florida gym; the rapper's injuries were so severe that he had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.

6ix9ine's attorney, Lance Lazzaro, tells TMZ ... the rapper was inside the sauna Tuesday at an LA Fitness when all of a sudden he was attacked by several guys without warning.

Lazzaro says 6ix9ine tried to fight off the combatants, but there were too many of them, beating him to a pulp before fleeing. Lance notes that 6ix9ine did not have security with him at the time of the attack.

The disturbance was heard by the gym workers, who alerted the manager right away. He was then taken to the hospital by ambulance after police and EMS were summoned to the site.

The damage to Tekashi's face, including the gashes and swelling, can be seen in a photo that was taken in the hospital. He reportedly also had injuries to his back, ribs, and jaw.

The next step, according to Lazzaro, is for him to make a call to the Feds to ensure that 6ix9ine receives the protection he obviously needs. Remember that he was given an early release from federal jail after helping law enforcement apprehend some of his fellow gang members.

Due to concerns that his persistent asthma made him susceptible to the coronavirus, "Gummo" hitmaker 6ix9ine was granted an early release from prison in April 2020.

With respect to his involvement with the Nine Trey Bloods gang, the rapper had already admitted guilt to several counts of racketeering, criminal use of a handgun, and narcotics trafficking. He was now serving time for these offenses.

He helped federal agents jail his associates, which resulted in a reduced prison term for him.

It's presently unknown if Tekashi's collaboration had anything to do with the gym attack.
